Bio

Scott Jones started making pots in high school, and spent his summers at Sauder’s historical village assisting the town’s local potter. He continued his education at Bowling Green State University where he had unique opportunities to assist his professor, build kilns, and travel across the country to fire an anagama. While still in undergrad Scott worked a part-time job as a ceramic studio technician and educator at the 577 foundation, a local community center. After, he spent a year as the artist in residence at the North Carolina Pottery Center. Currently, he is a resident artist at STARworks Ceramics and project manager at the NCPC.
